... Leonhard Styline Design Concept illustration is probably one of the most challenging art forms to master, and the difficulty involved in creating such artwork, lies in its deceiving simplicity. Knowing exactly how much detail to add to a drawing - and equally important, how much to leave out, is a skill which requires years of study and practice. Despite the fact that often the artist is dealing with complex technical structures, the designs have to be clearly readable and rendered in a dynamic, almost casual way. Few people truly master this skill, and names like Syd Mead or Doug Chiang rightfully command awe and respect from others that have ever tried creating artwork of this kind. |
